Are you and your doll ready for 2017? Here are some "must do's" to make your celebration over the top!
How to make a Shirley Temple
Ingredients:
-1 (12 ounce) bottle Grenadine
-Ice
-1 (2 Liter) bottle lemon-lime soda
-Maraschino cherries, for garnish, optional
Countdown Balloon
Countdown the hours until midnight with balloons that get popped each hour. For extra fun, write an activity you’ll do that hour on a piece of paper. Roll it up and tuck it in the balloon before blowing it up.
1. You'll need three glittery or metallic pipe cleaners per ring.
2. Cut them in half to make 6 pieces of equal length.
3. Gather five of the pipe cleaners and fold them in half.
4. Use one of the halves to make a ring for your child's finger.
5. Wrap the sixth pipe cleaner around a couple of times to secure the ring to the folded pipe cleaners.
6. Fan out the pipe cleaners into the shape of a burst of fireworks.
Celebration Star Wands
Materials Needed:
cardboard, dowel rods, glitter, scissors, cardstock paper, pencil, craft glue, ribbons, and pom poms
Steps:
1. Trace small stars on cardstock paper and use them as templates to cut out stars on cardboard.
2. Add a layer of craft glue to each cardboard star and sprinkle with glitter. Use your fingers to spread evenly and flip the star over to catch glitter that's fallen to cover the star completely. When dried, shake off excess glitter.
3. Place glue on the back of a dowel rod and glue to a cardboard star. Allow to dry completely.
4. Tie ribbon and glue pom pom's on the ribbon to complete the wands.
